Richard was born in Posen, Illinois, and attended Bremen High School in Midlothian and the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana.  He is currently a Chicago resident.

Richard has devoted his entire adult life to his art. His work has been shown in various galleries, exhibits, public shows and private shows and has received many art awards.  He has donated his art to various charities, he has a loyal following and his work is displayed in private corporate collections and in the homes of hundreds of private collectors.
